ABOUT SILK PRESS XPRESS
About Us
From the very beginning, SPX has thrived because we have always focused on quality not quantity when it comes to the services provided and the importance of southern hospitality. We grew from a single chair in-home salon to a full-service brick-and-mortar location with multiple stylists, nail technicians and aestheticians all in just 2 short years. We responded to the growing demand and needs of the Maricopa community which included population growth where the African American community was moving to the area at a rate of seven times faster than any other ethnic group.
We incorporate sustainable practices within the operations of the salon, only carrying and using quality eco-friendly products. An example of this was installing soft water filters to promote better scalp health. SPX genuinely believes that if you take care of clients the first time, they will keep coming back time and time again. This motto has been the foundation of our success.
We are proud to be recognized as the first black-owned beauty salon in Pinal County by Maricopa City Council Member, as well as a women owned, and minority certified small business.
Message from our Founder
SPX is so much more than a hair salon.
As founder, I believe in building community, service to others and the importance of properly growing our field. SPX is a gathering place where clients unwind and connect with each other. We host community events year-round, donate to great local causes and actively work in partnership with the State of Arizona and local beauty schools to create a stronger workforce pipeline in the beauty industry.
I am so glad you’re here. At SPX, healthy hair and confidence are our top priorities.
Explore our services, shop our products, and join a community where beauty, care, and professionalism come together. We can’t wait to see you in the chair! ✨
